Introduction to Thyroid Diseases

Thyroid dysfunction in the community is common but what is more common is the misconception among common people about thyroid disorders. In the Western World the prevalence of hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism together varies between two and eight percent of the adult population but a clear data on this is missing in developing nations like India. In most of the cases management is easy and straight forward, provided the approach is logical and stepwise.
